Melody Phaneuf's paintings have been exhibited at Galerie Herouet in Paris, The National Arts Club in New York City, and were included in a traveling exposition in Japan. Her work is regularly displayed at the Guild of Boston Artists, 162 Newbury Street, Boston, MA.
Melody is a member of the Fenway Studios Cooperative, a community of artists whose historic northlight building was modeled on the 19th century Parisian ateliers.
Melody says...." My paintings are expressions of my love of color and design. I am inspired by a variety of themes. I delight in the romantic quality of France's landscape and culture; the warmth and vitality of her people. I am intrigued by still life arrangement, with the order and structure of abstract elements. Symbolic compositions allow for the inclusion of narrative, linking story-telling to the visual language. I am amused by the imaginative scenes, most based on my interior world of dreams.
Through these pictures, I hope to share my enchantment with,
and awe of, the possibilites of art."
